Using Mindfulness during stressful times. Mindfulness allows kids to take a break and focus on a particular sense without becoming overwhelmed. Most research on mindfulness focuses on adults, but some studies have shown that when children practice mindfulness, it can be connected to a positive state of mind. Kids are able to feel joy from feeling that they are in control. (Pathways.org. 2020)
Building Resilience in Children. Life is challenging and we need to teach our children to minimize their perception of fear and uncertainty. Though It’s not always possible to protect our children from the ups and downs of life, raising resilient children, however, is possible and can provide them with the tools they need to respond to the challenges faced appropriately.
